I have completed a course in Mediation held by The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
I have completed the course in Adjudication run by the CIArb, Engineers Ireland, RIAI and SCS and have passed the exam at the end of that course.
I am a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Architects and a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland
I have been appointed to The Ministerial Panel of Adjudicators set up under the Construction Contracts Act.
Career History
I commenced employment as a qualified architect In Tyndall Hogan Hurley, Architects, which was one of the largest commercial practices in the country and moved on to become a senior architect, Associate and ultimately Partner in the practice.
I carried out both design and project management of Commercial, Industrial and Health Projects as senior architect and Partner.
I was the Project Architect (1979-1975) on the Setanta Centre which at some 26,000 sq metres and 500 car spaces in a double basement was the largest commercial development in Dublin until the advent of the Docklands Developments.
On the dissolution of that practice I set up my own practice in 1988 and have been active in that practice since that date.

Experience
Considerable experience in Design and Project management of various types of construction. Major areas of work include the Health Sector where I have designed and carried out numerous projects covering all aspects of Healthcare from Operating Theatres to Care for the Elderly.
I also have extensive experience in the Restaurant and Leisure area and have considerable expertise in commercial buildings.
Clients include the HSE, OPW and various private companies
